He told my friend he thought the Revo's were more comfortable, so I decided to try them. I got the Revo's on the advice of my mechanic friend who said his Specialties Rep road up to Sturgis on Progressive 944's and rode back with the Revo's. The Ohlins front suspension also has adjustability without disassembling the front end which is another plus in my opinion. It’s not a mass produced setup that is same for everyone and hope you fall in those perimeters. I can give Ohlins my information for how I ride and what the weight is and they tailor a suspension for my needs.

that is the absolute truth and one of the major reasons I’m going that way. It was mentioned earlier in the posts that Ohlins builds your setup to your needs.

That is a selling point for me as any adjustment with legends has to be made after disassembly. Öhlins front suspension is also adjustable without disassembling the front end once the preload is setup. I ride lots of miles 2 up with a chopped pack, long trips I have a king pack we use and attach additional luggage on top of it So its heavy. I’m changing the front and rear of my bike to Ohlins and it has ZERO to do with price point and everything to do with my butt in the seat riding lots of miles with my wife behind me.Įveryone has different needs. It’s almost like there is ulterior motive trying to lead the masses to what some think is the cool crowd. We are all grown adults, if you want legends, buy legends. Why does it always have to be a pissing match when others don’t follow what some like. I have talked to legends about it and I’m just at a place where I’m ready to have something that works for my needs and does what it is supposed to every time I’m on the bike whether solo or 2 up. I’ve had the neck bearings replaced as well as swing arm bushings trying to get it to track correctly. It’s difficult cornering at times with me riding solo in corners at higher speeds and has lots of wobble in it.regardless of what setting the air ride makes it very difficult to ride 2 up in corners such as riding Colorado million dollar highway or something like the tail of the dragon.

When you adjust the air to accommodate 2 up riding the exhaust hits the shock and begins to push the c clip off of the axle.

the front of the bike hops like it has to much preload in it, the shop has tried three times to adjust it even following the manufacture recommendations and I still have same issues.

The adjustability is available by disassembling the front end only, I have had the front end apart 3 separate times trying to get it right.

I have had the legends kit in the front for well over a year and have rode numerous long trips one being 1700 miles through Colorado and New Mexico. I will be removing the air ride from the rear and legends front end parts. I have an appointment to take my bike in to a local shop before my ride through alabama, tennesse September 1st. I was only giving true testimonial to the fact that the Legends Revo-A's were a product that worked, and was an alternative to the other shocks that were already out there. Anyone can run anything as far as I'm concerned. I don't care what people want to put on their bikes. I only posted the original post, because I thought other members might be interested in other products that work well, and that are available for their scoots. Also I was talked out of the 'Heavy Duty' spring, so I am running the standard spring. I don't think I ever said the Revo -A's were cheaper than Olins or JRI's, but if I did, Im sorry for misleading anyone. I DO NOT have to go back and forth with adjustments for single or Two-Up riding. This was done, because thats what the manufacturer told me to do, and it worked.
